You May Dispense With the Pleasantries, Commander.

Addendum: I still haven't gotten past the fact that Children of Men did not win any awards (lost Best Editing to The Departed and lost Best Cinematography to Pan's Labyrinth).

Dually, it should've been nominated for Best Director and Best Picture.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Academy, here are two clips from a film you chose not to give any award at all.

[The :48 mark on the second clip is earth-shattering.]

Have a good day.

I hope you all wet your beds tonight.

Get THIS! Someone actually legitimate is coming to the ODU Film Festival this year. Who? None other than mothergrabbin' IRVIN KERSHNER.

I meant to post this blog last night. I didn't. Bite the weenie.

I woke up today, started reading news online and poof, Siebert was on my back.

Want to know what I did with the rest of my home alone weekend? Nothing. Nothing at all. I ordered pizza and ate it.

Fun fact: my dad is in DC until late tomorrow night (or...I should say, early Thursday morning) and my mom leaves tomorrow morning for DC and will be there until Friday.

So I'll be home alone from 8 AM tomorrow until I wake up Thursday morning. Hip!

Song recommendation: "Driftwood - A Fairy Tale" by Cursive
I love it. And I don't care that I recommended a Cursive song the other day, too. I do what I want.
Pinocchio...oh boy, how your nose has grown.
So he would cry, "liar, liar!
I'll prove it to you!"
But then it grew.
He had grown tired of her;
So it was true,
He left her apartment
And he walked all night long.
'Til he was stopped by the shore of the ocean
But still he walked on --
Amongst the whales
And the waves.
And screamed "liar, liar!"

And his wooden body floated away.
He just drifted away.

And now I wonder how I was made...
My arms, my legs, my heart, my face,
my name is Driftwood.
Movie recommendation: Hollywood Homicide
It's not a very great movie but it makes being a cop seem really fun and Harrison Ford is great in a comedic role (even though most of the funny grows out of the fact that he is just out of his element).

Ding-Ding,
Jables
