Where Is That Shuttle Going?

Do I have your attention? No? Well direct your eyes to the right, where you'll find my best friend from preschool, me (pink hat/speedo...same kinda garb I run with today), and Molly from eons ago.

Ok, so, being home alone means three things:
  • I sleep late and nobody bitches at me.
  • I can sit downstairs and watch as many movies on digital cable as I want.
  • I can run around in my underwear.
However, watching a lot of TV (which I do not do, usually) has opened my eyes to several things.

First, no matter how shitty your production value, camera work, acting ability, sound and video quality, or writing...if you have a sex scene every ten pages in the script, your abomination of a movie will get made and will be broadcast on one of the HBO networks late Friday or Saturday night.

(Tangent: I like that, in the comments for Kinky Kong, some guy warns "Stay away from R-rated version. Unrated has its moments" like people are scouring IMDB wondering which version of the film they should order. Tee hee.)

"On Demand" is a terrific invention. It's a free pay-per-view that also involves television shows, through digital cable. We subscribe to HBO which means we also get HBO On Demand so we get all their movies and shows on demand, which is terrific.

So, I've started the process of selling my t-shirts. I've got about 50 or so that will eventually be sold but only four are posted right now. Drink up, bitches.

I'm watching the Oscar red carpet program. I've never been gayer.

Portia de Rossi has to be the hottest lesbian. Seriously, look at the list. It's her title to lose.

Do not see Elephant. I was interested in it when I saw the trailer forever ago and I finally watched it over the weekend on digital cable. You'd think..."written and directed by Gus Van Sant"...it'd at least be ok.

Nope. Hideous. Don't.

Song recommendation: "Wayfaring Sons" by Colin Hay
I sailed across the sea,
My familyyyyy and meeeee.
Never knew if I'd return
But in my memory, I yearn.
Movie recommendation: Children of Men
It should have at least won Best Editing or Best Cinematography tonight.

So go see it and join the cool anti-Academy underground movement where we can look smart and snobby by saying things like "Children of Men totally should have won Best Editing or Best Cinematography".

You're China!
